Legal

Terms of Service

Effective 10 September 2026

These terms govern your use of AI Deflag. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions may be sent to admin@kcdsconnect.uk.

Accounts

You must provide an email address you control and accurate information. You are responsible for your password, account activity, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Free allowance

Unsubscribed access currently includes processing one video and one image per UTC day. Anonymous visitors sharing an internet connection may share an allowance. Registered free accounts receive the same daily allowance. We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect the service.

Subscriptions and payment

The unlimited plan costs £10.99 per month and includes the subscriber-facing features shown in the app without the free daily allowance while the subscription remains active. Administrative and operator-only tools are not part of the subscription. Checkout and recurring payments are handled by Stripe. Your subscription continues until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals and access remains governed by the subscription status reported by Stripe. Any applicable taxes, refund terms, and payment details are shown at checkout or required by law. Contact support with a billing query.

Your media and instructions

You retain your rights in media you submit. You confirm that you own it or have all permissions required to upload, modify, download, publish, and distribute it. You give AI Deflag the limited permission needed to temporarily copy and process that media solely to provide the requested service.

Acceptable use

You must not use AI Deflag or its output to:

  • break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or evade a lawful restriction;
  • deceive, defraud, impersonate, harass, exploit, or harm a person or organisation;
  • create or distribute unlawful, abusive, or malicious material;
  • interfere with the service, bypass access or usage controls, probe security, introduce malware, or overload the infrastructure; or
  • violate the terms, disclosure rules, labelling requirements, or provenance requirements of any platform or jurisdiction relevant to your content.

Metadata and clean-video limitations

AI Deflag can remove or replace supported container and EXIF metadata. Clean Video removes supported metadata while preserving chapters before applying your selected values. Results depend on the file and tools available. The service does not promise to remove all watermarks, embedded pixels, every provenance signal, Content Credentials or C2PA data, nor does it guarantee that content will avoid automated detection. Changing metadata does not remove any obligation to disclose AI-generated or altered content. Watermark detection results are probabilistic and specific to the named detector; they do not prove that media is, or is not, AI-generated.

Contractual Allocation of Risk — European Union

Outputs are not intended for use or distribution within the European Union. You must not bring, supply, distribute, deploy, use, or direct another person to use an output within the European Union. Any user or downstream user who nevertheless brings, supplies, distributes, deploys, or uses an output in the European Union assumes all legal and financial liability arising under the EU AI Act, including liability connected with transparency, labelling, documentation, registration, conformity, monitoring, enforcement, penalties, and third-party claims. You must give downstream recipients notice of this restriction before providing them with an output. This contractual allocation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law and does not exclude, transfer, or limit any duty or liability that applicable legislation assigns to a party and does not permit that party to exclude, transfer, or limit by contract. For context, see Article 2 of the EU AI Act and this overview of provider and deployer roles.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, or service development. Temporary faults, processing failures, and data loss can occur, so you should keep your original files and independent backups.

Our rights

The app, branding, interface, and service software remain the property of their respective owners and licensors. These terms do not give you rights in them beyond the limited right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms were breached, the service is at risk, payment is not active, or action is legally required. You may stop using the service at any time and may contact support about closing your account.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, or fitness for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for your content, instructions, disclosures, and use of any output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live. We may update these terms; the effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the service where reasonably practicable.
